Showing changes from revision #11: Added | Removed

This is for the old Updater, which has been superseded by [[Six Updater]] v2.

Incase of mod installation failures or other problems, uninstalling the mods, manually deleting the managed mod folders,
or [[Six Updater Suite+download|redownload the updater]], uninstall the updater and start clean, might help.

    • Check out the [[Six Updater Suite+videos]] for extra ease
    • Double check the Updater [[_left+FAQ]] and [[_left+News]]
    • Make sure your firewall/security software is up2date and [[http://six.dev-heaven.net/wagn/Six_Updater_Suite+Overview#Firewalls,%20ports%20and%20security/antivirus|configured to allow operations]].

    Step 1: Starting the updater

    • Run the "Six Updater - GUI" (After installing [[Six Updater Suite+download]])
      • Please make sure you are not running multiple instances of the applications! Stop all other instances first.
    • The application should update required libraries, then start and should keep running, your browser should auto open the updater site after a while.
If it doesn't please try surfing to: [[http://127.0.0.1:16333/main|Main]]

Step 2: Synchronization and Gamespy updates

    • The updater automatically synchronizes  when accessing the main page, if the previous sync was more than 30 minutes ago:
      • Latest mods (version etc) information
      • Gamespy master server list and active server information

Step 3: Updates and running the game

    • In the updater-web-client site, browse in the top menu to [[http://127.0.0.1:16333/main|Main]]
    • Select the Preset you wish to use (put mouse pointer in preset field to get list), example: "A.C.E. Mod"
    • Optional: Select a Server to join and install mods for.
    • Select the action of your choosing, e.g:
      • "Install or Update, and Start game" installs and starts the game
      • "Install or Update, and Join server" auto joins the selected server
    • Click "Execute"

The updater will now install the selected mods.

    Uninstall

    • Run the Six Updater - Uninstall process
      • Please select to remove user configuration files (appdata), if you want to fully remove/reinstall.

    or

    • Delete C:\Program Files\Six-Updater (64-bit OS; probably C:\program files (x86)\Six-Updater)
    • Delete the [[http://six.dev-heaven.net/wagn/Six_Updater_Suite+Documentation+Overview#Configuration%20database%20/%20log%20files|configuration files]]
